PARTNERING FOR A BETTER FUTURE

Empowering Tomorrow

Government School Transformation Program

Many government schools face challenges, with most housed in deteriorating buildings that receive limited funds for maintenance. These schools often lack basic amenities, including non-functional washrooms, safety concerns, no separate drinking and handwashing facilities, and uninspiring environments that dampen the motivation of both students and teachers.

Our program is dedicated to transforming these schools by addressing sanitation, drinking and handwashing facilities, and other critical infrastructure enhancements necessary for an effective learning environment.

Key components of the program include – Sanitation (separate toilets for boys and girls), Hygiene (separate drinking & dishwash area), Infrastructure (shade area, colour work in school building), Digital Support (smart classrooms, tablets), and Behaviour Change Communication (BCC).

Through this program, we aim to make schools a better place to learn. This is facilitated by creating a child friendly learning environment in government or government aided schools through infrastructure development and / or other infrastructure transformation.

School Transformation via Digital Classrooms

89% of schools are not equipped with required technology. Moreover, traditional teaching learning methods have led to drop outs and absenteeism in schools. Inspired by the Union Government’s Digital India initiative and our flagship WASH program, we added a new dimension to our School Transformation Program in 2017-18 – Smart Classrooms and Google Future Classrooms (GFC).

A smart class or a knowledge class is an interactive learning platform focused on delivering education through modern technology to the students of government schools.

The smart board has turned our traditional teaching methods into dynamic and interactive experiences. It has made lessons more engaging, allowing us to bring the curriculum to life with multimedia resources, videos, and interactive activities. This not only captures our students' attention but also caters to different learning styles, ensuring that no child is left behind.

One thing I love about the smart board is that it helps me understand difficult topics. When our teacher explains something using the smart board, I can see and touch the concepts, making them so much clearer. It's like having a teacher who can show us things in 3D!
